About Me

Background

Hello, my name is Tristan Linn.

I am a graduate student studying for a MS in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University. I am specializing in Robotics, Manufactuing, and Product Realization. I graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and minor in Computer Science from the UNiversity of Texas at Dallas. After college, I plan on going into the field of robotics, defense, or aerospace. I have over 8+ years of CAD experience, designing projects, modelling, and creating physical prototypes. I have internship experience with Northrop Grumman as a manufacturing engineer and OTR Wheel Engineering as an engineering design intern. I work-hard, focusing on any and all tasks a project may have, following them from sketch to product fabrication. I have been told I am efficient in my work, and that I will go above and beyond what is recquired of me for my job.In the long term, I want a career that will be difficult and capable enough to challenge me and put me to work. I am capable of learning quickly, working efficiently, and adapting to the current situation. I am willing to put in the time and effort, if it means high quality work and results.

For fun, I create CAD models and prototypes of robots, automatas, and movie prop replicas. I enjoy taking on projects that I can learn new skills in, such as learning to solder to build a robotic hand, photoshop for graphic design for a puzzle, or even learning ANSYS and MatLab simulation for solving the workspace and block force for a humanoid robot. If there is a project that involves out of the box thinking, acquiring on the job skills, or simple drafting work, I am the person that can get it done.
